Always wanted to take part in a Crisis Committee, but never knew how?
Have glorious visions of solving international issues in real time, dealing with events and updates as they happen?
Then Hightstown's Model United Nations Conference is perfect for you.

Hightstown High School's Model UN Club was co-founded by two students in September 2014. Since then, we have come a long way and have grown in numbers. Our delegates have traveled far and wide, gaining experience in a plethora of different committees. Furthermore, as a fledgling club, we've set our sights high. Our goal? To host our own conference, an activity typically reserved for veteran delegations. This would be no ordinary conference either. We wanted to create a conference that would teach other delegates, just like us, the skills needed to be collaborative, innovative, resourceful - talents that a good delegate needs. And we intend to succeed.
On February 25, 2017, we hope you can join us for the second voyage of HMUNC, hopefully into the history books, and into the memories of everyone involved. We want everyone to leave a better delegate than when they arrived. This is HMUNC's objective; delegates aren't here simply to win awards or look good for the Chair. Hightstown wants to go back to the roots of Model UN by encouraging creative thought, insightful plans, and informed participants.
We do this by starting with the most advanced, the most dynamic, the epitome of Model UN: the Crisis Committee. These committees are different from regular General Assemblies or Specialized committees because they offer live updates on situations - from Tweets to news reports to hacked cables to live contacts - and require delegates to react in ways their real-life equivalent would. These reactions can range from selfish and monetarily-based to humanitarian and generous, for example. They are very informative, and just as fun.
On behalf of the entire Hightstown delegation, we would like to thank you for your time, and genuinely hope you can join us for a great day.
President Shivam Verma
